Jonas, son of Frank and Ann, came to us because they were looking for a new house style to match the story of their flower shop.The challenge? To create branding in which we gave the original flower shop a fresh, new look without losing sight of the target group.

HOW DO YOU INCLUDE A PERSONAL STORY INTO BRANDING?

Fran – an amalgamation of Frank and Ann, is more than just a flower shop. Because besides flowers, they also offer a wide range of decorations. Hence: fran – flowers & more. Do you want a classic bouquet or something more original? To make someone happy, to congratulate them or just to encourage them? At Fran you can find everything you can't say with words.

Our approach

In each project we work in 3 phases. And this was our approach.

Analysis

In addition to an analysis of the previous store, which was an established value in Merksplas, we mainly focused on Fran's ideal customer. What exactly was that customer looking for? What was he or she triggered by? We came to the conclusion that there were clearly 2 target groups: the slightly more classic customer but also the customer who was looking for something slightly different.

Strategy

We incorporated these insights into our strategy. Because the branding had to appeal to both target groups. So we looked for a way to create a branding where we could give a slightly more classic approach a little twist. 

Implementation

We went for a classic color palette with 'ivory, apple and pine' as the basic colors. We supplemented these with cheerful colors to highlight special campaigns throughout the year. The logo was also a fusion of a classic font with a much more playful one. Classic with a twist.

The result?
